A Memorable 2011

February 2011 – I shocked my boss with these statement – “Sir, magpapaalam lang po ako to take a leave for 2 months.” Hehe. And when he seemed surprise, I told him that it’s because I will be taking a maternity leave sometime October/November. It’s time for Baby #2!

September 30, 2011 – The office organized a “surprise” baby shower for me which I learned when my staff who was absent that time texted me to say sorry that she will not able to attend my shower party that day. Haha. So happy with the gifts for the baby that I got and was actually very tired when i got home at past 8pm that night. We are supposed to go home to Binangonan that weekend as I am going to give birth sana at Cardona, Rizal but God has other plans...

October 1, 2011:

3am – I got into labor and after a few minutes, my water broke. Mga 4am pa dumating si papa and when I called my OB-gyne, she advised me to look for other hospitals nearby as she does not think aabot pa ko sa Binangonan. Papa brought me to a closed hospital at Manggahan, a hospital with no OB doctor at Marikina and then finally sa Quezon City Memorial Hospital which was Labor Hospital nung araw.

4:30am – I got admitted and I was 9cm dilated... At 4:49am, I gave birth to another beautiful baby girl, my second princess is born!

Honestly, I am shocked at the state of the hospital where I gave birth. There are 2-3 of us sharing a bed with our babies and we were all on blood-stained hospital gowns. Miren asked about transferring to a private room but since I can already go home the next day, I told her that there will be no need for it. Yeah, the bill is very low compared to what we have budgeted but I have no choice anymore as I got to the hospital, “just in time”. We named our new baby, Isabel Therese!

October 2, 2011 – It is back to Dalig, Binangonan (nanay’s house) for me again and it was still the same... Ate Sally helped me sa pagpapaligo ng baby, Ate Lerie brought me food but this time Juliana was with us and we enrolled her at Child’s Place so that she will have something to enjoy and do while we are at Binangonan. Hay naku, she cried everytime she will go to school. Though excited sya with her tricycle service and she wore these uniforms for 2 months only! Para daw syang boy with her gupit...

December 10, 2011 – It is Isabel’s christening and at the same time Juliana’s 3rd birthday! Church is at St. Francis of Assissi Church at Mandaluyong:

The godparents are of Isabel are:
   1.       Jo Anne Gipulan               1. Manny Hizon
   2.       Marleen Mendoza               2. Joel Abad
   3.       Arlyn Mariano                 3. Vianney David
